Portrait Lighting

This week’s challenge was to choose a lighting technique when taking a portrait photograph.  The suggested lighting techniques were butterfly, Rembrandt, split, or loop lighting.  I don’t know what any of those terms mean.  In fact, I don’t usually take portrait photographs.  Most of what I photograph are landscapes.

Instead of posting a traditional portrait, here is our old friend, Pepper.  He left us three years ago, but it seems like just yesterday.
